I graduated from Gordon Central High School in 1998 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from University of West Georgia in 2002.

I had the pleasure of teaching second and third grade at Sharp Creek Elementary in Carrollton, Georgia from 2003 to 2011. I taught third and fourth grade at Country Oaks Elementary in LaBelle, Florida from 2011 to 2016. I had the honor of being chosen as Teacher of the Year at Sharp Creek Elementary and at Country Oaks Elementary. I was also chosen as Hendry County Teacher of the Year 2015-2016. I am over the moon excited to be back in my hometown and teaching first grade at Tolbert Elementary.

I have a wonderful husband named Travis and three four-legged children named Boss, Bailey, and Tuff (woof woof). I love to spend time with my husband, friends, and family. I enjoy going to the beach, the movies, and best of all....I love watching the Georgia Bulldogs play football. GO DAWGS! I am very thankful for all of the different students, parents, and educators that I have worked with over the years. I feel that they have each had a unique impact on me and the teacher that I am today. I consider myself a lifelong learner and look forward to the many new things I will learn here at Tolbert Elementary!
