I received my Bachelor of Science teaching degree in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University in 1990.

Over the last 25 years I have had experience in nearly every grade level.  I taught a GED program for three years in Alabama when I graduated from Auburn.  My family moved to Georgia and I began my career in the primary grades.  I have experience in first, second, fourth and fifth grades.  I recently taught for six years in the Ombudsman program, which is the alternative school in Gordon County for sixth through twelfth grades.  This year will be my third year at Tolbert Elementary teaching first grade.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Kyle.  We have been married for 28 years.  We have three beautiful children!  Our oldest, Morgan, is a teacher in Bartow Count and just had her first child.  Our middle son, Tanner, is a student at Auburn University.  Our youngest, Weston, is a seventh grade student at Red Bud Middle School.
