My name is Cindy Miller, and I am a native of Calhoun, Georgia. I am married to Mike Miller and have one daughter. She is married and has graduated college with a bachelor's degree in nursing. When we first married, my husband and I lived in Washington State for nine months and then moved to Frankfurt Germany for three years while he served in the Air Force. It was a great adventure for a young married couple and a learning experience. We then moved back to Plainville, Georgia where we resided for twenty-seven years. We have since relocated back to my hometown of Calhoun where we currently live.

I am a graduate of Dalton State College with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood  Education, where I acquired an ESOL endorsement as well.  I obtained a Masters degree from Kennesaw State University in Early Childhood Education and achieved a Specialist degree in Education from Piedmont College in May 2012.   I have a T-6 certificate, and am highly qualified to teach your child. This will be my twelfth year in education.  I have taught 3rd grade for three years, 5th grade for three years, served as a Literacy Coach for two years, and I taught 2nd grade for two years. Last year, I decided to teach in the Exceptional Student Services and continue in that position this year. I have taught inclusion classes throughout my teaching experience, and have taken the State GACE test in Special Education. I feel that my experience will enable me to assist your child in receiving the best educational experience possible to prepare him/her for a sucessful future.

I would like to welcome you and your child to Tolbert Elementary School!  I am very excited about working with your child, and look forward to getting to know you this year!  My goal for this year is to instill a love of school in all of the children, in hopes of making this year of school a happy growing experience. Your child will grow both educationally and socially this year, and I think it will be fun for all of us!  I’m very excited about the fact that your child’s experience at school will be here, where we truly believe that the essential component of education is  "Teaching and Engaging Students."

If you have a question or concerns and need to contact me, please feel free to either e-mail me or call the school at 706-629-4404 ext. 3549.  I will contact you at the end of the day.  For many of you, this is the first time you are getting to know me at Tolbert, and I want you to feel free to give me a call or send an e-mail.  My e-mail address is
