This is my 30th year teaching. I have taught the following elementary grades: Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I taught for ten years in Barnesville, GA. The other 20 years have been in Gordon County.

Hi! Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am excited about what new adventures we have in store for us this year!

A little about me and my family... I was born and raised in Calhoun. I attended Belwood Elementary, Ashworth Middle School and Calhoun High School. I received my Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West GA. I later received my Masters Degree in ECE from GA Southwestern State University. I have two sons and both of them attended Tolbert Elementary. My oldest son, Trevor, is 24 years old. He is a student at Kennesaw State University. My youngest son, Trent, is 16 years old. He is in 11th grade at Gordon Central High School where he plays football, runs track, and is a member of the JROTC Raiders. I enjoy traveling. The farthest that I have traveled so far is to London, England. This past summer, I took a trip out west to the Grand Canyon!

My paraprofessional is Mrs. Misty Strickland. She is married to Joey Strickland, and they have two sons. Alec is in 6th grade at Red Bud Middle School, and a member of the golf team. Lane is a freshman at GA Northwestern where he is a member of the golf team. Mrs. Strickland enjoys football, camping, and golf. She is wonderful and really loves the kids. We are lucky to have her!

We are so excited about this new school year! We really look forward to getting to know you and your child. We want to work together with you to help your child succeed, be happy and have fun in Kindergarten. Please do not hesitate to email, call, or send a note if you ever have any questions or concerns!

We are using Class DoJo this year so you may also check your child's daily report, see pics of the class, and send me messages!

Thank you!
